Newsletter Vol.4 Spring 2021/21

While the COVID-19 pandemic delayed some of the original goals of Ontario Health
Teams (OHT), it strengthened the relationships between members of the Oxford and
Area OHT.

When the pandemic arrived in Ontario, the Oxford and Area OHT pivoted to form
an “Oxford COVID Response Team” to identify potential risks to the community and
overcome them together.

Early on in the pandemic, we recognized Oxford County needed a central hub for
receiving community and provincial supplies of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Oxford County Paramedic Services, the Oxford County Community Health Centre and
the Ingersoll Nurse Practitioner Led Clinic helped to facilitate one drop-off location at
Oxford County EMS on Mill Steet. This allows for a coordinated distribution of supplies
to community agencies.
